SISTER AUGUSTINE
Sister Augustine, like many of the nuns, is jealous of the Martin sisters, and not at all in favor of the entrance of young Thérèse. She finds Thérèse, who has never done any housework whatsoever, totally unsuited for community life, and proceeds to make her life miserable. Inspite of her natural dislike for this difficult nun, Thérèse decides to win her over, and completely confuses Sister Augustine with her attentions and friendship.
Played by SAMANTHA KRAMER
"Crazy things happen in this business," laughs Samantha Kramer, about the casting of herself as Augustine, the comical hostile nun who helps Thérèse along the road to sainthood. "I would never have expected this character to become such an integral part of the story. Sister Augustine starts out very resentful towards Thérèse, but in the end they grow close." Samantha has an extensive theatrical resumé in Phoenix, Arizona.
